The Winston-Salem Street School is transforming the disenfranchised youth of the community into productive citizens. The students being served include those who have dropped out or been expelled from the public high school system in Winston-Salem/Forsyth County.

Approximately 800 students drop out of the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Public Schools each year and that number is rising. The Winston-Salem Street School was specifically created to target these students. By doing so, it is playing a critical role in resolving this very real community problem.
